The Machining Services Division of Graphel (previously called Jodex) offers EDM services primarily to the Aircraft Industry. We also specialize in job shop work, specialty EDM applications and developing Engineered EDM solutions for customers by designing, manufacturing and testing out EDM tools and electrodes for use in our customers' facilities.
The Machining Services Division currently offers 4 different types of EDM services:
Wire EDM Services
Graphel's Machining Services Wire EDM capabilities include both 2 and 4-axis cutting and can handle part heights up to 10-3/4 inches tall. Typical types of parts we have produced include copper tungsten seal slot electrodes, gear teeth, keyways, sheet metal, and small part manufacturing.
Small Hole EDM
Small Hole EDM applications vary from starter holes for Wire EDM parts, cooling holes for aircraft parts, to part manufacturing with small diameter hole requirements. Graphel's Machining Services can EDM holes from .013" in diameter up to .125" diameter using fast hole driller technology. Larger diameter holes can be provided using Wire or Sinker EDM technology.

Sinker EDM Services
Graphel's Machining Services can provide a wide range of Sinker EDM services, which include machining of honeycomb parts, EDM of seal slots for shrouds and vane segments, aircraft hardware repair, custom form and slot EDM and Threading. Our CNC sinker technology allows for both orbiting and C-axis rotation capability.
Engineered EDM Solutions
Graphel's Engineering staff has developed many tools for our customers covering a variety of applications. With our computer aided modeling techniques, we can develop full-service EDM solutions from electrode design, tooling development and EDM testing, and prove-out of our custom solution to your needs.
